Azure Shared Services Engineer
Summary
Azure Shared Services Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting our clients Azure platform. As the environment is designed and implemented via Infrastructure as Code, strong architecture and coding skills are desired in order to understand the environment and develop/code automated deployment of resources (PaaS, IaaS, network) in Azure.
Job Description
Engineer will develop, automate, and implement platform solutions related to our core Azure environment. This includes subscriptions, resource groups, management groups, and various Azure services to name a few. This role allows for direct collaboration with internal and external parties (especially Microsoft) to help design and implement the Azure platform environment. Software development/scripting experience desired, ideally with the following technologies: Terraform, PowerShell, Java, ARM/BICEP/JSON, and Azure functionality like logic app, function app, etc.
The engineer also helps certify new Azure services for use in the environment via the Cloud Controls Framework (technical, architectural, and controls assessments)
Skill Set Required
· 5+ years experience with coding skills (terraform, PowerShell, Java, ARM/BICEP/JSON, Infrastructure as Code))
· Azure platform administration skills (Azure Management Groups, Subscriptions, Resource Groups and common IaaS/PaaS Resources)
· CI/CD skills (repos, pipelines, etc – Github, Azure Dev Ops)
· Responsible for developing and supporting ExxonMobil’s Azure platform. • Experience with Agile work methodology
• Infrastructure experience, ideally with the following: Windows/Linux server and/or VMs, IP networking, infrastructure integration, infrastructure security
• API management
